If there's one thing that I'm on a seemingly endless search for, it's comfortable and functional undergarments that won’t drastically change my body shape (which I’m learning how to feel more comfortable with as I age). I can't tell you how many times I've come across a camisole that seemed to fit perfectly in the store, only to wear it and spend the next 12+ hours pulling it down after it budged its way up. And shapewear? I had an awful time at a friend's wedding once after I shimmied my way into one of those slimming body shapers that squeezed my midsection and chest so tight that I found myself lightheaded and having trouble breathing, all the while completely losing the shape that makes me ME.
Needless to say, my success rate with all things undergarments has been pretty low in the past, so when BlogHer, along with Rachel Zoe and Jockey, sent me over a few pieces of Rachel Zoe’s "Major Must Haves" from Jockey, new shapewear line for the iconic brand, I was a little (okay a lot) skeptical.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was that, unlike other shapewear that looks like it's made for an infant when it comes out of the package, Jockey's pieces were the size that an actual woman with bloating, water retention, puffiness, insert-many-other-symptoms-here needs for full coverage. I decided to try out the the Strappy Tank first, pairing it with a blouse and skinny jeans. At the end of the day, I realized that I didn’t once fuss with the camisole while it was on. I loved how long it was, and that it had 3 panels (bra, midriff, and lower) that hid those few bulges that I try so hard to conceal! And while I did feel a tad bit “slimmer” wearing it, the most important thing to me was that I felt comfortable. Yes, the camisole itself is comfortable (it’s breathable cotton), but I also felt comfortable in my own skin. It didn’t change my body drastically; it simply enhanced the curves and shape of my body that I’m learning to love, while covering the few things that make me self-conscious as a woman.

"Tummy Shorts." Love these.

"Tummy Shorts." Love these.
I’ve since tried the Tummy Short, which I loved times a million because it hid that oh-so-annoying muffin top that seems to haunt us no matter what size we are. I also wore the 2-panel Slip Shaper under a dress, and not only did it help smooth everything out (even undies lines) but I could breathe and move comfortably the entire time.
I’m so excited that I tried this new line from Jockey because it was exactly the kind of shapewear I was looking for: comfortable and functional while still allowing me to look and feel like myself.

A few years ago I wore a super form-fitting sweater dress with no shapewear and the pictures were horrendous...
Looks great and the vest actually looks long enough not to end up under my arms after a couple of hours - yes, I know exactly what you mean about the perils of shape wear ;-) I wonder when this range will be available in the UK... xo
I wish I had been wearing shapewear on a night out in the city I had with friends recently.

I wish i had been wearing shapewear with a maxi dress that I thought was beautiful until I saw how clingy it was in pictures
A party we had for my daughter right after she was born when we went to visit family. I looked at pictures and I thought I was wearing a dress that hid my post-pregnancy tummy, but it didn't at all!

This would be great to wear under my dress for christmaS!
I wore a dress to the company Christmas party last year and WAS wearing shapewear until I realized that it was such bad quality that it really did nothing for me anyway and I wasted my money. Next time I'll know to invest in a well made shaper!
Def my wedding! I got married on the beach and wanted more than anything to be comfortable, but I cringe when I see my cheap bra poking through my dress.

I've never worn shapewear but i wish I had worn it this last year. Yep, YEAR...post baby! ;)
1st time out of the house post-baby!
at mardi gras balls i wish i had comfortable shapewear!
I wear a compression stocking thigh hi on one leg due to DVT. I have a sweater dress that is really cute and comfortable but it is a bit form fitting and I wish I had worn a garment on this day (I forgot). Let's just say you could tell I had the stocking on and that I needed to work on getting my stomach muscles a bit more in shape than they were at the time.
would love to win a give-a-way!
Oh god-- have spent so many days pulling down bunching camisoles!! Can so relate! I really could have used some shapewear that time I decided to wear an extra tight light grey dress that may or may not have accidentally accentuated my cellulite.
Love this! I have always hated pulling down the tank all day! The length is what I find most appealing!
I'm always looking for good camis that don't ride up! Excited to give this line a whirl :)
I love wearing shapewear shorts and have a few expensive pairs that I will no longer wear:they start to roll after wearing them for only a few hours! I can't keep going into the bathroom at a friends wedding, cocktail party or dinner to pull the waist back up. I am in need of a new shapewear line!
I was once a bridesmaid who got to wear a full length back lace up dress. A modesty panel was included and when I tried on the dress everything stayed in place. I packed my usual thong and headed to the wedding. Insert all day having to reattach (or locate!) my modesty panel and the whole wedding party seeing my booty. man would a shaper or something a little more coverage have decreased lots of embarrassment!
I wish I was wearing shapewear the year after giving birth. I didn't lose the weight very easily.
Ooh sounds awesome! I've tried shape wear and like you said, it tends to ride up and not be comfortable. I'd love to try this!

And the last time I was in Vegas I should've worn shape wear! After a night eating out and too many drinks a little help would have been nice hehe!
I wish I could wear shapewear under almost every dress I wear! Love all three of those items though!
I wish I had been wearing shapewear for my prom. It would have made me feel less guilty about eating all those appetizers and desserts!
shape wear makes everything work look sleeker, so I wish that I started wearing it with sooner, and with more outfits!
My old camis are starting to fray and the Jockey ones seem great!
Looking back at photos from a family reunion this past summer, I really wish I had been wearing shapewear!
I wish I had been wearing shapewear at my brother's wedding!

I wish I was wearing shapeware for my wedding!
I would love to try these! Thanks for the giveaway!
Any time I wear a form fitting dress!
I was in my sister in-law's wedding, three months post baby. When I look at pictures, I would kill for some shapewear!
I wish I was wearing shapewear at pretty much every formal occasion... but the types I've tried in the past were so uncomfortable!
(And Rachel Zoe shapewear just seems so chic!)

I once wore these super thin black pants and realized you could see every dimple on my butt! But it wasn't until I went out in public with no shape wear that this was happening!
everyday
I remember the day I was the matron of honor at my friends' very casual backyard vows. It was a beautiful day, but I felt very self-conscious of how I looked in my clothes. I picked something frumpy and too big because I didn't think I looked good enough for my 'nice' clothes. I should give these shapers a try!
I could use shapewear under all my clothes post pregnancy now that nothing seems to fit right!
I would love to win! will need these especially after baby #2 in april!
I really wish I had been wearing shapewear on my wedding day to smooth out my curves! Looking back in photos I could really have used just a little smoothing.
I love shapewear on the days I'm just not feeling amazing about my body...makes me feel better
I went to a business dinner a few years back and the dress I wore, definitely needed shapewear.

I wish I had been wearing shapewear at a Mad Men themed birthday party I went to 3 weeks ago. I didn't notice in the mirror, but there was a photographer there and I saw one of the pictures and thought, "oh my goodness I needed to be sucking in the whole night!"
Great giveaway. There are very few nights out and formal events I attend without wearing shapewear for some extra confidence. Fingers crossed!

I wish I had worn it the first few times leaving my house after having my baby!
I had a formal affair about 5 years ago where I wore a long dress. I felt great before I left the house, but upon seeing the pictures I was horrified realizing I needed shapewear to smooth everything out. It's the worst to realize afterwards!
Thanks!

I haven't ever worn it, but I think it might be helpful post partum.
I was a guest a wedding and didn't realize how out of shape I was getting. The dress I was wearing looked two sizes too small! shapewear would have done the trick :)
Shape wear would be great all the time!

A couple weeks ago when I went up in front of class to give a presentation & realized you could see the indentation of my underwear through my stretch pants... Apparently my underwear was too small or my thighs are too large. I was sooo embarrassed when my closest friend said something about my "STRETCH" pants being too small. Yah! Coulda used some shapewear then! kytah00@yahoo.com
