Everyday Looks for Shoulder Length Hair

A few weeks ago I mentioned cutting my hair a significant amount, and while the change took getting used to, I have to say, for the first time in my life I'm not disappointed with a decision having to do with my hair. In the past I've made hasty decisions and asked my stylist to chop off my hair out of pure frustration, only to regret it days, even hours, later. But this time it's different; I'm actually having fun trying new looks with my shorter do. So far, these have been my two favorite looks to wear.

1. Boar's hair round brush like these 2. Bumble and Bumble Styling Lotion

This is a great look!!!

I can't wait for my hair to reach this length again...I've been short for a year (pixie'd last summer, grown into a bob at the moment)

I would love to be able to wear a messy bun in my hair! I am going to give this a try...I have super thick hair so it may be bobby central but this really is a cute hairstyle!

Love my hair shoulder-length. Bumble and Bumble make the best products out there for hair.
Thank you for sharing, Annemarie.

I did the same thing a while ago, cut my hair real short, from waist to shoulder-length. I love the hairstyles you posted here, especially the buns!

Great post. I am actually cutting a 'long bob' soon and am totally using that Olivia Palermo pic as inspiration. I hope I can pull it off! Xx

With your pretty face I am sure you could do anything w/ your hair and look gorgeous. I bet you are finding it easier and I know when I go a bit shorter my hair is always fuller! xo

I absolutely adore these looks but I am SO not good at getting that chicly styled messy do going on. Mine either looks too done or too disheveled - so it's usually just down. I envy that you can manage these!!

I just cut my hair too, 5 inches to a long bob. I too have always cut and regretted but this time I'm happy with it. It feels a little more free!

Very cute, how did you get the waves in the first picture, just with a round brush? That looks great! Recently cut my hair a similar length and it looks silly super straight, wavy seems to be the answer!

Love your messy bun! If I had enough hair for it to look that great, I would try it. The Easy Updo is another unstructured solution you may like.
