There are very few colors as classic and timeless as navy blue. Whether it's a cozy old sweater, a piece of shiny silk ribbon, or even a tote canvas bag, anything doused in the color instantly exudes a level of sophistication that other colors don't quite capture. As much as I love all things navy, I must admit it's never been on my radar for wall paint color like shown in these photos. While it's bold and risky, I don't think these rooms could have turned out any better. Now, if I only I had such courage to go through with navy blue painted walls...

I loved the look of this navy blue painted wainscoting against the white walls:

So I thought I had everything figured out for the new apartment, then I saw navy and white striped bedding at West Elm and I don't know what to do! I love it. Totally obsessed with the first room.

I would love navy in a dining room - it really is the epitome of elegance.

Navy is my absolutely favorite color, and now I'm going to be thinking (all weekend, most likely) about painting my house navy. Simply gorgeous!
I love blue, and navy blue has this classic vibe, too. Plus blue in general is supposed to be calming...perfect for any house!!!

The first image is one of my FAVES. I remember seeing it on the cover of Elle Decor and pretty much ripping off the cover then and there to post it to my inspo board at home! That gallery wall still slays me. Navy is just so classic and pretty, but not too girly. Can't get enough!
My hubs & I are wanting a navy blue room so badly but it won't work in our current place. Love the inspiration above! Someday~
lately I have been so into navy blue! it looks great everywhere you use/wear it!
I agree - navy blue is one of my fave colors!
I ADORE navy for any and everything including walls. That first shot is one of my favorites!! My next door neighbors upholstered their dining room walls in navy cashmere - it is to die for!!
The third and fourth pictures are such inspirations!

I love navy blue too, I've never had the courage to try it as a wall colour either (that is, for a main room, our basement walls are blue and grey though!)
Love the navy walls!
